Palestine Legal joins widespread international condemnation of Israel’s ethnic cleansing efforts in East Jerusalem, severe repression of protesters, and indiscriminate murder of Palestinians in Gaza.

These actions reflect the essence of the Zionist project to colonize Palestine and repress steadfast Palestinian resistance over the last seven plus decades.

Saturday, May 15 marks the 73rd anniversary of the Nakba - or Israel’s original ethnic cleansing of more than 75% of the indigenous population from Palestine, a process which continues today in Sheikh Jarrah and throughout historic Palestine.

This foundational injustice and its continuation today are what drive a growing and increasingly bold movement for Palestinian liberation. As a movement lawyering organization, we join you in standing unequivocally with the Palestinian people for freedom and justice.

The rising chorus of voices condemning Israel’s apartheid policies - from human rights organizations and celebrities to politicians and every day people - is a direct result of decades of unrelenting organizing for Palestinian freedom.

We stand ready to support your organizing in the U.S. in solidarity with Palestinians on the ground.

We share legal resources for protesters organizing or participating in demonstrations, as well as an incomplete list of actions around the U.S. organized by Palestinian communities and their supporters.

Legal Resources

If you need legal observers at your protest, or if you need legal support following an arrest, call your local NLG chapter or hotline, here.  Be prepared when protesting and in encounters with law enforcement by knowing your rights.

See additional resources from the ACLU and Center for Constitutional Rights on what to do if you are stopped by police or federal agents.  Palestine Legal urges community members not to speak with law enforcement, including the FBI, without a lawyer present.

Contact us if your rights to boycott, protest, organize, speak out or mobilize are threatened.
