Palestine Legal joins widespread international condemnation of Israel’s annexation attempts in the West Bank and highlights legal resources for protesters participating in Wednesday’s Day of Rage against annexation in the U.S.

We recognize that this is the latest move in 70+ years of Israel’s efforts to annex — or fully colonize — Palestinian land. We also recognize that the failure of international law to protect Palestinians or hold Israel accountable further highlights the importance of grassroots efforts to resist Israel’s colonization and ethnic cleansing plans, including mass protests.

We share an incomplete list of actions around the U.S. organized by Palestinian communities and their supporters:

Legal resources

If you need legal observers at your protest, or if you need legal support following an arrest, call your local NLG chapter or hotline, here.  Be prepared when protesting and in encounters with law enforcement by knowing your rights.

See additional resources from the ACLU and Center for Constitutional Rights on what to do if you are stopped by police or federal agents.  Palestine Legal urges community members not to speak with law enforcement, including the FBI, without a lawyer present.

As always, contact us if you are targeted for your advocacy for Palestinian freedom.
