Palestine Legal featured in NYT Magazine

Battle Over BDS

The New York Times Magazine published a lengthy feature this week on the Palestine solidarity movement and its impact on national politics.

The article details many of the successes and challenges facing advocates for Palestinian rights, including the growth of Black-Palestinian solidarity and shifting demographics among younger voters, efforts to smear critics of Israel as antisemitic, and the litany of anti-boycott laws passing on the state and federal level.

The article cites and mentions some of the 1,200 incidents of censorship, punishment or restrictions on advocacy Palestine Legal has responded to since 2014, and mentioned many of the cases our clients and allies are fighting - including repression at the University of Minnesota, Indiana University, and UC Riverside.
